Searching for all of the new movies due to be released in theaters this year? You've come to the right place. Below, we've rounded up every film set to arrive in a cinema near you between now and the end of September, so you don't need to go anywhere else for your big screen entertainment needs.
This week, the highly anticipated Dune: Part Two sandwalks onto the silver screen in the US and UK (it's out in Australia in mid-March). We loved 2021's Dune, a Denis Villeneuve-directed flick we labeled "an absorbing and visually striking sci-fi epic". Given the critical acclaim its sequel has been met with, we're dying to return to Arrakis to catch Dune: Part Two. There are plenty of other big new movies heading to the screen in the months to come, too. From new Marvel and DC films, to many other non-superhero genre-based fare, there's plenty to be excited about.

New movies: March 2024
Dune: Part Two
Release date: out now (US and UK), March 14 (Australia)
The most disappointing thing about Dune was its non-descript ending. But, as anyone who’s sat through David Lynch’s flawed 1984 movie will tell you, slicing Frank Herbert’s classic sci-fi novel in two was certainly a better plan than squeezing it into a single film.
Now, after numerous delays owing to the 2023 Hollywood actors and writers strikes, Dune: Part Two has emerged from beneath Arrakis' sandy wasteland. Based on its three teasers – including its epic final trailer that teases all-out war, new villains, and a possible third film – and its universal acclaim, it's been worth the wait, too.
Joining Dune's already impressive ensemble cast are Elvis’ Austin Butler, Black Widow’s Florence Pugh, No Time to Die’s Léa Seydoux, and the needs-no-introduction Christopher Walken. One of 2024's best new movies so far.
Kung Fu Panda 4
Release date: March 8 (US), March 28 (UK and Australia)
Few DreamWorks properties have proven as popular as Kung Fu Panda (Shrek and How to Drain Your Dragon notwithstanding), so the announcement – and forthcoming arrival – of the franchise's fourth movie has excited fans of the previous three flicks.
Jack Black returns to voice seminal protagonist Po the Panda, who's charged with finding his successor for the role as Dragon Warrior while fighting a new foe known as The Chameleon. Big name stars nin Awkwafina, Viola Davis, Dustin Hoffman, Bryan Cranston, Ian McShane, and Ke Huy Quan are among its supporting cast members.
Imaginary
Release date: March 7 (Australia), March 8 (US and UK)
One of two movies about imaginary friends releasing in the first half of 2024, Imaginary is the more horrifying of that duo.
Jeff Wadlow (Kick-Ass 2, The Curse of Bridge Hollow) directs – and co-wrote – this terrifying supernatural flick that centers on a seemingly haunted stuffed animal named Chauncey. The bear was previously owned by Jessica (DeWanda Wise) but, when her stepdaughter Alice (Pyper Braun) suddenly becomes attached to it and sinister incidents start occurring, Jessica realizes Chauncey isn't the cute toy she once remembered. You'll never look at your stuffed animal collection in the same way again.
Love Lies Bleeding
Release date: March 8 (US), March 14 (Australia), April 19 (UK)
The first of A24's new movies line-up for 2024, Love Lies Bleeding is a romantic thriller from Saint Maud filmmaker Rose Glass.
Katy O'Brian (The Mandalorian, Ant-Man 3) plays Jackie, a bisexual bodybuilder who Lou (Twilight's Kristen Stewart), an employee at the gym Jackie starts training at, falls for. Unfortunately, the pair's potential romance hits a major snag when Jackie becomes wrapped up in the escapades of Lou's criminal family. Jenna Malone, Dave Franco, and Ed Harris also feature. Will it keep A24's acclaimed track record, erm, on track? We'll have to wait and see.
Drive-Away Dolls
Release date: out now (US and Australia), March 15 (UK)
This queer crime comedy road-trip movie from Ethan Coen – yep, one of the two beloved Coen brother directors – might not have been on your radar initially. But, with a starry A-list supporting cast including The Last of Us' Pedro Pascal, Oppenheimer's Matt Damon, and Rustin's Colman Domingo, Drive-Away Dolls is certainly worth catching if you can, especially as it's positively received by critics (based on its Rotten Tomatoes score, anyway).
Margaret Qualley stars as Jamie, a free spirit who embarks of an impromptu trip to Tallahassee with her more reserved best friend Marian (Geraldine Viswanathan) following a break-up. However, when the pair get embroiled in the affairs of an inept criminal gang, things don't take long to go awry. Start your engines in 3, 2, 1...
Robot Dreams
Release date: March 22 (UK), April 11 (Australia), May 31 (US)
Robot Dreams isn't likely to be on many people's must-see new movies list of 2024, but it should be. This animated tragicomedy flick is nominated for Best Animated Feature at this year's Oscars – and, based on its early word of mouth reception, it's deserving of being put forward for said Academy Award.
The silent Spanish-French film stars Dog, a lonely anthropomorphic canine living in 1984 New York. Fed up of being on his own, Dog builds Robot, a mail-to-order companion to enjoy life with. Unfortunately, the pair are forced to part ways – will they ever find their way back to one another? You'll have to watch to find out.
Pablo Berger, best known for his work on Spanish language films Abracadabra and Blancanieves, has directed and co-written this one. Sara Varon, whose comic Robot Dreams is based on, co-penned the script.
Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire
Release date: March 22 (US), March 28 (Australia), March 29 (UK)
Ghostbusters: Afterlife brought a small-town, Stranger Things-like vibe to the veteran spook-hunting franchise, but this follow-up will bring the action back to the Big Apple. Based on its latest trailer, which you can view above, it'll be a fun-filled albeit chilling romp, too.
Here's Frozen Empire's official story synopsis: "The Spengler family returns to where it all started – the iconic New York City firehouse – to team up with the original Ghostbusters, who’ve developed a top-secret research lab to take busting ghosts to the next level. But, when the discovery of an ancient artifact unleashes an evil force, Ghostbusters new and old must join forces to protect their home and save the world from a second Ice Age."
Finn Wolfhard, Mckenna Grace, Carrie Coon, Paul Rudd, and Celeste O'Connor will return from the Afterlife cast. Franchise newcomers Kumail Nanjiani, Patton Oswalt, and Logan Kim are also on hand for some bustin', while beloved veterans Dan Ackryod, Bill Murray, Ernie Hudson, and Annie Potts are also back.
Immaculate
Release date: March 21 (Australia), March 22 (US and UK)
It appears Sydney Sweeney is Hollywood's go-to A-lister right now. The Euphoria star has starred in late 2023 rom-com Anyone But You and 2024's Madame Web, but she's also set to front this disturbing religion-based horror ahead of April's arrival.
She'll play Cecilia, a devout American nun who apparently becomes the reincarnation of Mary – Jesus' mother – when she falls pregnant without having sex. Cue the residents of her convent either hailing her as the mother of the Second Coming, or seemingly wanting to kill her for her supposed blasphemy and clear sins. Expect Immaculate to draw immediate parallels with similarly religious horror flicks involving supernatural pregnancies, such as Deliver Us.
Godzilla vs Kong: The New Empire
Release date: March 28 (Australia), March 29 (US), April 12 (UK)
Bumped up two weeks – in the US, anyway – from its original launch date, the sequel to 2021's Godzilla vs Kong crashes into theaters soon.
Godzilla vs Kong: The New Empire sees the titular kaiju join forces (after beating the living daylights out of each other in the last film) to tackle a new menacing threat. Its first trailer, which was released in early December 2023, revealed said dangerous foe, what appears to be a baby Kong, and a pink Godzilla. Another trailer arrived in February, and teased even more destructive action and a greater exploration of the in-universe Hollow Earth.
Thanks to hit Apple TV Plus prequel series Monarch: Legacy of Monsters and highly-rated Toho-developed movie Godzilla: Minus One, Godzilla has never been more popular. Expect one of the new movies this March (or April, depending on where you live) to do extremely well at the global box office.
New movies: April 2024
The First Omen
Release date: April 4 (Australia), April 5 (US and UK)
Serving as a prequel to beloved 1976 flick The Omen, this Arkasha Stevenson-directed movie is the latest horror film that attempts to – unnecessarily, some may argue – fill in the gaps in its franchise lore. Nell Tiger Free, Tawfeek Barhom, Sonia Braga, Ralph Ineson, and Bill Nighy are among its main cast members.
Here's its synopsis, for those interested, too: "When a young American woman is sent to Rome to begin a life of service to the church, she encounters a darkness that causes her to question her own faith and uncovers a terrifying conspiracy that hopes to bring about the birth of evil incarnate."
Civil War
Release date: April 12 (US), April 24 (Australia), April 26 (UK)
A war-based action-drama whose story could become a reality if humanity isn't careful, Civil War is another A24-developed movie that seems like it'll do well with general audiences.
Alex Garland (Ex Machina, Men) returns to helm this feature, which sees a team of journalists travel across a neo-dystopian US to document the unfolding conflict between a dictatorial government and an expansive Florida-based militia. Real-life married couple Kirsten Dunst and Jesse Plemons, Wagner Moura, Cailee Spaeny, Nick Offerman, and Stephen McKinley Henderson star.
Abigail
Release date: April 18 (Australia), April 19 (US and UK)
It seems April 2024 is making a play to be the year's spookiest month outside of October (although March is giving it a run for its money). Indeed, as well as The First Omen, this Dracula-inspired horror movie will make its theatrical debut this month, too.
When a group of would-be criminals kidnap a seemingly unthreatening 12-year-old ballerina, all they have to do is watch over her for 12 hours – at night, we should add – in order to collect a $50 million bounty. Unbeknownst to the gang, though, they've abducted the child of a menacing underworld figure. To paraphrase Rorschach from legendary graphic novel Watchmen: she's not trapped in there with them, rather they're stuck in their hideout with her.
Melissa Barrera, Dan Stevenson, Kathryn Newton, Giancarlo Esposito, and Kevin Durand are some of the notable names set to feature. Radio Silence – aka Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, who masterminded the Scream franchise's return – are on co-directing duties.
Challengers
Release date: April 24 (Australia), April 26 (US and UK)
Originally set for release in late 2023, Challengers was pushed into Q2 2024 due to last year's Hollywood strikes.
Zendaya (Spider-Man: No Way Home, Dune) plays Tashi Duncan, a tennis star-turned-coach who has transformed her husband Art into a worldwide tennis phenomenon. When Art suddenly finds himself on a career-defining losing streak, she forces him to play a 'Challenger' event, where Art will take on a player on the lowest rung of elite tennis. Little do the pair realize, though, that Art will be facing off against Tashi's former flame Patrick (Josh O'Connor).
Luca Guadagnino (Bones and All) directed Challengers from a script by Justin Kurtizkes, the latter's first-ever movie screenplay. We'll see if Challengers serves up a decent movie in late April.
Boy Kills World
Release date: April 26 (US only)
Originally due out in 2023, Boy Kills World stars Bill Skarsgård (IT) as the titular 'Boy', who embarks on a quest for revenge after his family is killed by Hilda Van Der Koy (X-Men's Famke Janssen), the matriarch of a vicious post-apocalyptic gang. Deaf and voiceless, 'Boy' relentlessly pursues Koy and company, driven on by his inner voice that's – absurd as it sounds – co-opted from his favorite childhood video game.
Sam Raimi (Doctor Strange 2, Evil Dead) is among the film's many producers, so you should expect Boy Kills World to deliver a gruesome, adult-themed story when it battles its way into theaters.
New movies: May 2024
The Fall Guy
Release date: May 3 (worldwide)
With his terrific turn as Ken in 2023 megahit Barbie earning him numerous award nominations (and some wins!), Ryan Gosling’s stock has never been higher. So, we’re expecting his next movie – The Fall Guy – to be a hit in its own right.
In it, Gosling trades Barbie beach life for a wild stunt-filled rescue mission as washed-up stuntman Colt Seavers, who embarks on a humorous, action-packed errand to track down missing A-lister Tom Ryder (Aaron Taylor-Johnson). Based on its first trailer, Seavers will have to put his day job to good use in a bid to take on or avoid the lawbreakers, who Ryder seems to have got himself into trouble with and who stand in Seavers' way.
Emily Blunt, Hannah Waddingham, Stephanie Hsu, and Winston Duke are among the film’s starry supporting cast. Dave Pearce (Iron Man 3, Mission Impossible – Rogue Nation) and David Leitch (John Wick, Deadpool 2) are on writing and directing duties respectively.
Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes
Release date: May 10 (US and UK), May 23 (Australia)
The fourth entry in the revived Planet of the Apes film franchise, which might set up a new trilogy, arrives very soon. Set 300 years after predecessor War of the…, the final film to star Andy Serkis’ Caesar, Kingdom of the… sees Reptile's Owen Teague play Noa, a young chimpanzee tasked with completing a trying mission that’ll impact apes and humans alike.
Noa will be joined on his trek by Mae (The Witcher’s Freya Allen), a young woman who’s part of the now feral human race. If we had to guess, we think the duo will form an unlikely alliance in a bid to thwart Proximus Caesar (Lost's Kevin Durand), a powerful chimpanzee ruler who enslaves other ape clans and is unrelenting in his search for human technology.
The three previous Planet… films have been superb, so we’re hoping Kingdom… will be similarly great. Based on its new trailer, which was released during the 2024 Super Bowl, it promises a fiery post-apocalyptic civil war.
IF
Release date: May 16 (Australia), May 17 (US), May 24 (UK)
Two months before Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool makes the superhero jump to the MCU, he’ll appear in the more family-friendly IF, 2024's other imaginary friend-based movie.
The fantasy comedy stars Cailey Fleming as Bea, who gains the ability to see imaginary friends – known as IFs – abandoned by kids who have since grown up. With the aid of The Man Upstairs (Reynolds), who possesses the same gift, Bea goes on a journey to reunite IFs with their former human companions so they’re not forgotten.
John Krasinski (A Quiet Place) is on dual writing-directing duties, while its eclectic but talented voice cast of IFs includes Steve Carell, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Emily Blunt, Matt Damon, Maya Rudolph, Awkwafina, and Sam Rockwell. Get ready to laugh, cry, and get heart-warmingly nostalgic when one of 2024's adorable looking new movies arrives in theaters.
Garfield
Release date: May 24 (US and UK), May 30 (Australia)
Chris Pratt will hope to front another $1 billion-making animated flick – he voiced Mario in the aforementioned money-spinner The Super Mario Bros. Movie, if you somehow weren't aware – with this Garfield movie reboot. And no, it isn't a sequel to those poorly received Bill Murray-starring live-action-animated hybrid films.
The Guardians of the Galaxy star will play the titular lasagna-loving, Monday-hating tabby cat, whose world is turned upside down when his good-for-nothing feline father (voiced by Samuel L. Jackson) suddenly rocks up. One of 2024's new movies that should keep the kids quiet for a couple of hours.
Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga
Release date: May 23 (Australia), May 24 (US and UK)
If seeing Pratt voice another iconic character is your idea of a bad time, this Mad Max: Fury Road prequel is the perfect alternative.
Anya Taylor-Joy plays a younger version of the eponymous character, who was portrayed with gripping intensity by Charlize Theron in Fury Road. Unsurprisingly, it'll focus on her harrowing life until a few years before the barnstorming 2015 epic, revealing how she earned her Imperator title in the process.
Furiosa's first trailer teased Taylor-Joy's hero, Chris Hemsworth's wild villain, and explosions galore when it debuted in December 2023. Let's hope it's insanely thrilling, high-octane, and entertaining as Fury Road. With acclaimed Mad Max director George Miller helming it, Furiosa should be all that and more.
New movies: June 2024
The Watchers
Release date: June 6 (Australia), June 7 (UK), June 14 (US)
M. Night Shymalan's daughter Ishana follows in her father's horror-tinged footsteps by making her feature film directing debut with The Watchers, an adaptation of A.M. Shine's novel of the same name.
Dakota Fanning (Coraline, The Equalizer 3) plays Mina, an artist who gets trapped in a disorienting, untouched forest in western Ireland. Finding shelter alongside three strangers, Mina soon realizes that the group are being watched (and stalked) by mysterious creatures who roam the treeline at night.
Georgina Campbell (Barbarian), Oliver Finnegan (Outlander), and Olwen Fouere (The Northman) feature as the film's supporting trio. M. Night Shymalan is among its executive producing team.
Ballerina
Release date: June 6 (Australia), June 7 (US and UK)
The first spin-off film in the John Wick franchise was supposed to be out in theaters this June, but there are rumors that it might be delayed until 2025. We'll keep its entry here until Lionsgate confirms otherwise.
Anyway, Ana de Armas (No Time to Die, Knives Out) stars as the titular ballerina-assassin – real name Rooney – who embarks on her own revenge-filled mission to take down the individuals responsible for killing her family.
Given Ballerina is set between John Wick's third and fourth films (read our John Wick movies in order to learn more), Keanu Reeves' titular assassin is slated to play a supporting role, as will other prominent franchise characters in Ian McShane's Winston and the late Lance Reddick's Charon. Len Wiseman (The Underworld film series) is on directing duties, with Shay Hatten (Rebel Moon Part 1) having penned the script.
Inside Out 2
Release date: June 13 (Australia), June 14 (US and UK)
Nine years after Inside Out tore up our hearts before mending them in an emotional roller coaster of a Pixar flick, its highly-anticipated sequel will land in theaters in mid-2024.
Inside Out 2 will reunite viewers with the first movie's protagonist Riley, albeit now as a teenager, whose emotions (including Joy and Sadness) are given another big jolt by the onset of puberty and the arrival of new brain-based cohorts. Indeed, Inside Out 2's first trailer made us feel like a teenager again with its new emotion teases, including the unveiling that Maya Hawke (Stranger Things) will voice one of said emotions in the form of anxiety.

The Bikeriders
Release date: June 21 (US and UK), July 4 (Australia)
Originally set to be released in late 2023, The Bikeriders' will speed into theaters in mid-2024 after it was delayed due to last year's Hollywood actors and writers strikes.
Inspired by real events, it follows The Vandals, a midwestern motorcycle club that starts out as a small group of individuals seeking to bond over their two-wheel rides. Over the span of 10 years, though, they slowly grow into one of the most vicious and terrifying biker gangs in America. Jodie Comer (Killing Eve, Free Guy) plays Kathy, through whose eyes we see the gang evolve. Austin Butler (Dune 2, Elvis) and Tom Hardy (Venom, Dunkirk) are among it starry supporting, largely male cast. Jeff Nichols is one dual writing and directing duties.
A Quiet Place: Day One
Release date: June 27 (Australia), June 28 (US and UK)
A prequel spin-off set in John Krasinski-developed post-apocalyptic horror franchise, A Quiet Place: Day One will tell a brand-new tale about the events surrounding the sound-sensitive alien monsters' invasion of Earth. Its first trailer gives a good indication of how chaotically terrifying it'll be, too.
Little is known about the plot of the series' third film, but its cast is a pretty stacked one. Lupita Nyong'o (Black Panther, Us), Joseph Quinn (Stranger Things season 4, Marvel's The Fantastic 4), and Djimon Hounsou (Shazam!, Rebel Moon) are among its talented roster, while Krazinski and Michael Sarnoski have co-penned the story. Sarnoski is chief filmmaker on this one, too.
Horizon: An American Saga
Release date: June 28 (US), TBA (UK and Australia)
His time on Paramount Plus' hit Western TV show Yellowstone is drawing to a close, but Kevin Costner isn't going to walk away from the US frontier-set genre just yet. His next film, Horizon: An American Saga, is a duology that'll release within two months of each other – Part 1 arrives in late June, with Part 2 set for release in mid-August.
Like A Quiet Place: Day One, nobody knows what story it'll tell. However, Horizon has an absolutely stacked cast of familiar faces, with Costner joined by the likes of – deep breath – Sienna Miller (American Woman), Sam Worthington (Avatar), Jena Malone (The Hunger Games), Michael Rooker (Guardians of the Galaxy), Abbey Lee (Old), Thomas Haden Church (Spider-Man: No Way Home), Jamie Campbell Bower (Stranger Things), and Isabelle Fuhrman (Orphan: First Kill) among many, many others.
Costner is also co-writer and director on this Warner Bros. developed flick, with Jon Baird helping him to pen the script.
New movies: July 2024
Despicable Me 4
Release date: July 5 (US and UK), June 20 (Australia)
The Minions are back. Again. Oh, and so is Gru and his adorable family (no, not the Minions, his human one) in Despicable Me 4, the supervillain-turned-good-guy's latest theatrical adventure.
In his first outing in seven years, Gru is called upon to stop a new nemesis called Maxine Le Mal (Will Ferrell) and his femme fatale girlfriend Valentina (Sofia Vergara). However, when they prove more than a match for Steve Carell's eponymous hero, Gru and his family are forced to go on the run. Expect plenty of the usual animated slapstick shenanigans and fart jokes from this one.
Twisters
Release date: July 18 (Australia), July 19 (US and UK)
Sometimes, there's nothing better than a disaster movie – and it just so happens we're getting a follow-up to one of the best (1996's Twister) later this year, whose first whirlwind trailer debuted during the 2024 Super Bowl.
Daisy Edgar-Jones (Normal People), Glen Powell (Top Gun: Maverick), Anthony Ramos (Transformers: Rise of the Beasts), and the DCU's recently-crowned Superman in David Corenswet are set to star. Lee Isaac Chung (Minari) is directing it from a script by Mark L. Smith (The Revenant).
Per a Warner Bros. press release, Edgar-Jones stars as Kate Cooper, "a former storm chaser haunted by a devastating encounter with a tornado during her college years who now studies storm patterns on screens safely in New York City. She is lured back to the open plains by her friend Javi (Ramos) to test a ground-breaking new tracking system. There, she crosses paths with Tyler Owens (Powell), the charming and reckless social-media superstar who thrives on posting his storm-chasing adventures with his raucous crew, the more dangerous the better."
Deadpool & Wolverine
Release date: July 25 (UK and Australia), July 26 (US)
The only Marvel movie releasing in theaters in 2024, Deadpool's MCU debut has a lot riding on it. Not only will it need to turn the studio's below-part performance at last year's box office around, it'll also need to do justice to the Merc With a Mouth's two previous brilliant movie outings, celebrate all things X-Men (Hugh Jackman's Wolverine is one of many mutants set to feature), and prove R-rated Marvel films can succeed. No pressure, then.
Understandably, Deadpool & Wolverine's plot remains a closely guarded secret. However, we know the Marvel Phase 5 flick will star Ryan Reynolds as the titular character alongside Jackman's adamantium clawed superhero.
After Marvel president Kevin Feige unveiled Deadpool 3's logo, the film's first trailer arrived during 2024's Super Bowl. New movies: August 2024
Borderlands
Release date: August 9 (worldwide)
It's been in development for almost a decade but, finally, Lionsgate's movie adaptation of Gearbox Software's humorous, action RPG video game franchise Borderlands has an official release date of August 9, 2024. Oh, and after its grand unveiling in late February, the first trailer for the Borderlands movie had everyone comparing it to the same Marvel movie.
Cate Blanchett stars as Lilith, an infamous bounty hunter who joins forces with a number of other misfits – Roland (Kevin Hart), Kreig (Florian Munteanu), Tiny Tina (Ariana Greenblatt), and Tannis (Jamie Lee Curtis) – to find the missing daughter of a well connected gang leader named Atlas (Edgar Ramirez). Expectedly, things go awry when the outsiders unearth an explosive secret on the planet Pandora, leading to all sorts of carnage and adult-themed quips. One of 2024's new movies that could be a surprise hit or a complete waste of everyone's time.
Alien: Romulus
Release date: August 16 (worldwide)
The seventh film in the iconic sci-fi horror series, Alien: Romulus will tell a standalone tale that fans are hoping will get the stuttering franchise back on track. Fede Álvarez (2013's Evil Dead) is on directing duties from a script he co-penned with Rodo Sayagues. Ridley Scott is among its many producers, too.
Cailee Spaeny (Priscilla) will be the movie's protagonist, and she's already told Variety that it'll be a pre-sequel kind of flick. Indeed, Romulus is believed to be set between Alien and Aliens, aka the two best movies in the series, so we've high hopes for this one. Isabela Merced (Madame Web), Archie Renaux (Shadow and Bone), and David Jonsson (Rye Lane) are part of the film's cast.
Kraven The Hunter
Release date: August 29 (Australia), August 30 (US and UK)
Sony dives back into Spider-Man's rogues’ gallery with their second 2024-based effort to expand the SSU (Sony’s Spider-Man Universe), which is simultaneously separate from, and tenuously connected to, the MCU.
In the '60s, Kraven the Hunter was an original member of Marvel’s Sinister Six and discussed as a potential big-screen foe for Peter Parker. Now, he’s following in the footsteps of fellow anti-heroes Venom and Morbius by headlining his own movie. And, just like his villainous contemporaries, Kraven's first solo live-action adventure doesn't look all that appealing.
Aaron Taylor-Johnson (Avengers: Age of Ultron, Kick-Ass) plays the titular hunter and Ariana DeBose (Wish, Argylle) will play long-term Kraven associate Calypso. The Many Saints of Newark’s Alessandro Nivola takes on lead villain duties as Rhino, while Russell Crowe is also on hand to play Kraven's emotionally cold father.

Beetlejuice Beetlejuice
Release date: September 5 (Australia), September 6 (US and UK)
The long in-development sequel to 1988 surreal comedy-horror Beetlejuice will arrive in theaters this September, and its title – Beetlejuice Beetlejuice – is a very clever call back to the original film's way of summoning the mischievous ghost.
We know nothing about its plot, but two of the first film's main cast members – Michael Keaton and Winona Ryder – are returning as the titular trickster and Lydia Deetz. Jenna Ortega will likely be its protagonist, though, with the Wednesday and Scream actor hired to play Astrid, Lydia's daughter. Catherine O'Hara, Monica Bellucci, and Willem Dafoe are also involved, while iconic gothic filmmaker Tim Burton is back on directing duties after helming the fist flick.
Transformers One
Release date: September 13 (worldwide)
After multiple live-action entries, the Transformers franchise will hope to get a much-needed shot in the arm with Transformers One, a brand-new animated film helmed by Pixar alumnus Josh Cooley (Toy Story 4, Inside Out).
Like many new movies set to arrive in the final few months of 2024, its plot is a closely guarded secret. However, we know it'll be an origin story of sorts, which will explore the relationship (or, rather, breakdown of it) between Optimums Prime and Megatron. Marvel stars including Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, and Brian Tyree Henry, plus other big names like Jon Hamm, Keegan-Michael Key, and Laurence Fishburne will lend their voices to the autobots and decepticons. Saw XI
Release date: September 27 (worldwide)
Buoyed by one of the series' best entries to date in 2023's Saw X, the long-running and popular Saw film franchise will return once more with another installment ahead of Halloween.
Again, there's very little information to clue you in on with this flick. Indeed, the only confirmed news we've had is that it'll arrive in late September and that Saw X director Kevin Greutert will direct it. Without spoiling too much, we expect Saw XI to carry on the story from its forebear, even if the connective tissue between the two narratives is based around potential returning characters.
